Curl Photo
The curl effect was actually a very simple one to accomplish. The first thing I did was use the rectangular marquee tool to select the bottom left hand corner where I wanted the curl to be. I then filled it with black to white gradient to give the bottom of the picture color. I then used the warp tool to give the effect that the bottom left hand corner of the photo was folding over. I chose to use this picture for the curl effect because I am going to do an entire page on my best friends and want this to be one of the main photos. On my best friend page, I am going to use 4 photos and curl all of them so I decided to do the tutorial on this one so I could already have one of the 4 photos finished.
Tape Photo
This was pretty easy and only took me about 10 minutes. I chose to use this picture because it is going to be the only photo on its page or one of the only 2-3, so I chose to do the tape on this one so it will stand out when in my book. To accomplish the tape effect, I used the rectangle tool to draw the original tape shape, and then after I used the brush tool to brush the effect on the tape, I used the eraser to erase the extra paint. I then put a drop shadow on the tape to add another effect.

Picture This is a store that sells cameras mostly targeted at moms and other women who love to "capture little moments." The stores main goal is to show moms that cameras have much better quality and are better to treasure life's precious memories of their children. This ad would be placed in the "Parents" magazine to catch the attention of moms and dads everywhere to show them that Picture This sells the best quality cameras for remembering all of the little moments they find so dear. To accomplish the design of this advertisement, I first had to find pictures that would appeal to mom's and other young men and women in need of a new camera. To do this, I went to Pinterest, a favorite website of moms everywhere, and quickly found pictures that would catch their attention. In order to make the pictures look like Polaroids, I simply created a new 350px x 350px document and placed the pictures on it. I then adjusted the size of the photos on the backgrounds so it looked like a Polaroid photo. I then placed them on a wooden background to give the effect of pictures scattered on a table. I then researched most successful fonts for advertisements and decided to use Bodoni. I then added typography and a few other finishing touches and then resulted in this ad to help sell more of Picture This' quality cameras to parents all over the U.S. who just want to capture more of life's little moments.

Perfume Ad
For this ad I chose to put my face across the entire page because in many magazines and other places with ads, the model occupies a large area of the the ad to show the audience that if this famous person uses the product, they should too. I wanted to display this same effect in my own ad. To accomplish this effect, I mostly used the magnetic lasso tool to cut out my face and the perfume bottle and then used the layers panel to stack different pieces on top of eachother.

Color and Black & White Glamour Shot
For this assignment I started out by desaturating the entire picture. I then used the history brush to paint the area, in the case my shirt, that I wanted to be in color.
